Executive Committee Meeting:  The December Executive Committee meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on

December 12th at James Moses’ home.  We couldn’t get a guarantee of a private room at Oh’Brian’s during

the holidays.  The plan is to resume at Oh’Brian’s in February.

High Power Precision:  NEW -- 200 YARD PRECISION RIFLE MATCH COMING EARLY IN 2008! 

The BGRPC is sponsoring a new competition event for those of us with scoped hunting, military or other rifles.  

The match will be held on our 200-yard range and is open to all BGRPC members and guests shooting scoped

centerfire rifles in calibers up through .300 Winchester Magnum fired from shooter provided rests.  Shooters can

choose to shoot for score in the match or shoot for fun and focus on sighting in their rifle at 200 yards with the

help and mentoring of the range officers.  Format for the match is to shoot 25 rounds in 20 minutes at a series of

designated targets.  A maximum total of 20 shooters will be allowed to register for and shoot this first match.

Interested?  The shoot is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2008, but check the club website for the full event description

and rules.  You can get on the pre-registration list by emailing the match director, Mike Charness, at

Old Bolt Gun Match:  Our annual Old Bolt Gun Match will be held January 5th, 2008.  The course of fire

will be the usual High Power Course that we fire each month.  To be eligible for awards, competitors must fire a

military rifle with issue sights and stock.  ANY military rifle other than the M1, M14/M1A or AR15 may be used. 

Those wishing to shoot for practice may fire any rifle.  This is not an NRA match and scores will not be forwarded

to the NRA.
