crossties and other work on the Pistol range. The work party will begin at 8:00 a.m. Jerald Bailey will be in charge of
the activity. He can be reached at 894-7833 – Guntersville.
Range Safety Rule Changes: There have been a couple of incidents, with no injuries, at the Range that have made it
necessary to change the Range Rules. They are as follows:
1) ALL firing will cease on ALL ranges when anyone is down range on any other range.
For years we have had an exception to this rule. But members keep getting it backwards, hence the rule change.
2) All metal gong and swinging targets must be placed at the 50 yard line on the Pistol Range. Do not place them on
the 25 yard or any other closer distance.
We have experienced back splatter at the 100 yard benches from a metal swinging target placed on the 25 yard
Pistol Range
Range Maintenance: The range will be mowed on Fridays when school is out. Make-up days due to weather will
be on Sunday afternoons. Please do not empty the trash barrels in the woods. The dumpsters next to the entrance gate
are for trash purposes. Cleaning up trash out of the woods takes much more time than just taking it to the dumpster.
I have a list of chores that need to be done if members need to do work time. I am hoping to establish a list with a set
credit for each chore. This way everyone will know ahead of time how many hours credit they can expect for general
work done. Please write me an email at jbtromba@charter.net or call me at 256-894-7833 to ask about tasks to be
done. There are several things we are always in need of doing on a weekly and monthly basis. Records will be kept by
me as to what is done and on which dates. Please do not do any work on the range without notifying me. This way
you can get work credit and I can keep the basic maintenance on track. A work day has been scheduled for June 23rd
for all interested members. Replacing the railroad ties on the pistol range will be handled on that day, as well as
repairing target frames and painting the pistol tables. Jerald Bailey
