Executive Committee Meeting:  The October Executive Committee meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on

October 17th at Oh-Bryan’s restaurant in Madison.  Oh-Bryan’s is on Browns Ferry Rd west of Hughes Rd. 

Members are invited.  Those planning to have a meal should get there by 6:00.

Work Party:  There will be a work party on the Range Sunday Nov. 18th.  The range will be CLOSED for the

day.  The work party will begin at 8:00 a.m.  Contact Jerald Bailey  (894-7833 – Guntersville) for more information.

 

Worley Match:  The annual Worley Match is scheduled for November 3rd.  This will consist of the usual 100 yd

High Power match and a modified Pistol NMC (one hand only).  The Pistol Match will be fired concurrently with

the High Power match.  Any pistol may be used.  Loaner pistols and ammo will be available.  There is no charge for

the pistol match and no awards.  The Worley Trophy will be given to the club member with the highest total High Power

and Pistol score.

 

Free Pistol League:  The Blue & Gray Gun Club will commence a Free Pistol League monthly outdoor tournament

 to be held the third Saturday from October 2007 until March 2008 at 9:00.


Course of Fire:  60 shots slow fire in four groups of 15 shots, two hours total.   Unlimited sighters allowed before start

of record firing.


Any safe .22 rimfire semi-automatic, revolver, or single shot pistol with open sights may be used.  Only one round may

be loaded at a time.

Eligibility:  Open to any Blue & Gray club member in good standing and their guests.


Entry Fee:   $10.00 one time fee for all league matches.   A portion of the fees will be returned to the club for

improvement of facilities.


Rules & Targets:   USA Shooting rules to govern, and only certified targets will be used.  B19 reduced targets will be

utilized for 50 yard slow fire.  These matches will be fired rain or shine from a covered firing point. Start
time may be adjusted due to weather.   Contestants should bring a staple gun to repair targets. Competitor scoring

will be utilized.   These matches are USA Shooting approved, and scores will be submitted for classification (for USAS members).

 

Awards: No cash prizes will be awarded.

 

M1 Alert:  M1 rifle #1085918 has been reported missing.  The last known location of this rifle was at Todd Taylor’s. 

If you have this rifle or know its whereabouts, please call me at 534-2644 or Club President James Moses at 534-7968. 

If we are unable to locate it, we will be obligated to report it to the FBI as stolen.                                                                                                                                                                                  Sami
