Executive Committee Meeting:  The Sepember Executive Committee meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on

September 19th at Oh-Bryan’s restaurant in Madison.  Oh-Bryan’s is on Browns Ferry Rd west of Hughes Rd. 

Members are invited.  Those planning to have a meal should get there by 6:00.

New Members:  C. Allen Dorsett Jr. Keith Foslier, Julien Lahiere and Larry Tomlin.

 

Camp Perry 2007:  Todd Taylor won a Gold Medal and 10 “Leg” points in National Individual Trophy Match.

He was 23rd in the non-distinguished competitors out of 892 non-distinguished competitors.  Philip Crowe placed 3^rd

overall in one of the 600 yard matches during NRA week.  He shot a 200-13x in this match.  There were 550

competitors in the match.  On the same day a National Record was set by the Match Winner, Mark Del Cotto. 

Mark shot a 200-20x.  He has fired with some of us at Tullahoma, Oak Ridge and River Bend.  20x means he fired

20 consecutive shots into the 6” X-ring at 600 yards, firing prone with a sling and iron-sights.

 

Smallbore Prone and 3 Position:  There will be informal Smallbore matches conducted parallel with the Pot Shot

sessions this fall.  Howard Pitts (931 993-6122) will be in charge of the prone matches and Dan Fox (256 679-6777)

for the 3-Position (3P) matches.

 

Friends of the NRA Meeting:  Member Dan Fox chaired a very successful Friends of the NRA meeting on August 2^nd.
